Community Investment Tax Credit Program (CITC)
If you have at least $500 to contribute, consider becoming a CITC donor!
Donors* who contribute at least $1`,000 to HCA can use the Community Investment Tax Credit (CITC) to get a 50% rebate on their gift when they file their state taxes in Massachusetts!
If you donate $5,000 you will get $2,500 back. If you donate $10,000, you will get $5,000 back. It’s that simple!
After you make your donation, you will receive instructions on how to log in and complete a simple online form. Then you will receive a document that you will use when you file your state taxes. Even if you don’t owe any taxes, you will receive the 50% rebate back from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
CITC is designed to make it easy for you to invest in your community. In 2022, the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development awarded HCA another $200,000 in credits. Your donations using HCA’s CITC creates and maintains new and existing affordable housing developments, supports families through our Homelessness Prevention Grant Program, and provides other social services such as financial literacy, employment services, and a computer lab.
