Many local grocery stores have always done delivery, but they are significantly stepping up their game in the days of Covid-19.
Amazon and Instacart have become the go-to for many people and perhaps the most well-known, but I was getting groceries (and paper products and cleaners and wine) delivered to me at MIT….well, a long time ago. #notquiteaboomer #therewasnointernet #therewasnotargetinmass
Now, restaurants are also providing delivery or groceries and household goods that they can source from their suppliers.
Here are some local grocery stores that are delivering and restaurants that you can hit up for things like ground beef, milk, and toilet paper. All of these businesses are working feverishly to make things easier and more available for us everyday.
Shop Local – Online Service
I am super excited to learn about Mercato! It is an online service similar to Instacart (as far as I can tell) that works with our local specialty grocers. I would love to hear from anyone who has used it and I am going to try it, too! I am going to have to do a post just for Mercato….they have SO MANY SHOPS!
